Product Mashup

FOUN245 Idea to Object | Spr 2026 | Prof. Doyle Trankina

This product mashup project challenged students to reimagine and combine multiple existing products into a single innovative design solution. Through research, sketching, and iteration, students identified opportunities to integrate features, functions, and forms from different objects into a cohesive new product.

The final presentation included orthographic projections, an ink line drawing, and hand lettering to clearly communicate the design concept and its functional details. The project emphasized creative problem-solving, technical drawing skills, and effective visual communication, encouraging students to think critically about product design while developing professional representation techniques.
